Seven rooms, two wings
The resort publishes four room types in its hotel and three in its resort wing. It describes the hotel as a quality four-star product and the resort rooms as five-star. The difference that matters to me is height and water: hotel rooms are about balconies and views from a level up; resort rooms are about stepping out to the lagoon.
| Room | Wing | Where it sits | Bedding (as published) | The evening detail |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Deluxe Room | Hotel | Levels one to three | King, Twin (two king singles) or Family (queen + king single) | Private balcony |
| Superior Spa Hotel Room | Hotel | Ground floor | One king, one double + one single, or two queens | Private patio, garden or ocean view; Japanese-inspired spa bath |
| One Bedroom Hotel Suite | Hotel | Not stated | King-size bedroom | Separate living area and a private balcony |
| Grand Hotel Suite | Hotel | Not stated | King-size bedroom | 71 m²; balcony over the infinity pool, described with sunsets |
| Lagoon Room | Resort | First floor | King or two queens | Balcony with outdoor setting over the lagoon |
| Superior Lagoon Room | Resort | Deck at water level | King or two queens | Step from the deck into the lagoon, swim to the bar |
| Mindil Suite | Resort | Not stated | King | Balcony with day bed, sun lounges, outdoor shower and pool access |
What every room gets
Across the property the resort lists complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi, free on-site parking and a 24-hour reception. In the hotel rooms it mentions ensuite bathrooms and flat-screen televisions, with spa baths in all its suites. In the resort rooms it mentions separate or luxury bathrooms, flat-screen TVs and minibars. The resort did not publish check-in or check-out times on the pages I read; ask the desk if your flight is early or late.
Chapter 3Choosing for the light
Here is my honest limit: the resort's pages do not say which rooms face west over the water. Only one description, the Grand Hotel Suite, promises Darwin sunsets from the balcony. The Superior Spa Rooms are offered with either garden or ocean views, which tells you that views differ inside the same category. So when you send a request, write the view you want in plain words — "sea-facing, evening sun" — and expect the answer to be about availability, not a guarantee.
If you are travelling with children, the Deluxe Room's Family configuration (one queen bed and one king single) and the two-queen options in the Superior Spa and lagoon rooms are the published choices. For a long stay, the One Bedroom Suite's separate living area or the Mindil Suite's kitchenette make more sense than a standard room.

The renovation caveat
Stage 2 of the hotel renovations runs from 1 November 2026 to mid-April 2027. The resort says the rooms recently refreshed include new guest rooms and an enhanced reception, but it does not list which rooms are in Stage 2. If you are booking for that period, ask.
