A suite with its own evening
The resort calls the Mindil Suite one of Australia's most luxurious five-star resort suites. I cannot test that claim, but I can read the list, and the list is built for staying in: a dining table for six, a butler's pantry with a kitchenette, a dressing room, and a balcony with a day bed, sun lounges and an outdoor shower. With direct access to the lagoon pool, it is the only room where you could watch the light go, swim, and eat without walking through a public space.
The outdoor shower is the detail I would use most: in the Wet, with humidity that Tourism NT puts above 80%, rinsing off outside before going in is a small luxury.
Chapter 2Who books it
Small celebrations and wedding couples, mostly. The resort's wedding page talks about five-star rooms for the wedding party and the sunset as the backdrop to the ceremony. The events page has what the resort publishes about lawns and pavilions.
Chapter 3Ask before you set your heart on it
The resort names a single Mindil Suite, so availability is the first question. The second is renovation timing if you travel between November 2026 and mid-April 2027.
