Self-exclusion at the resort
The resort publishes a Multi Venue Self-Exclusion arrangement. You can ask to be excluded from the casino's gaming areas, from the whole property, or from other participating venues in Darwin, for a period between three months and four years. It begins with a private meeting with a Gambling Harm Minimisation Officer. The resort also says there are clocks in all gaming areas and helpline numbers on gaming machines and ATMs.
Chapter 3The rules casinos work under
Licensed casinos in the Northern Territory work under the NT Casino Code of Practice for Gaming Harm Minimisation 2023, published by the Northern Territory Government. It sets out harm-minimisation duties for casino operators. I link to it so you can read it yourself; I do not summarise it beyond that.
Chapter 4Signs worth taking seriously
- Spending more than you planned, or going back to try to recover losses.
- Borrowing money or using money meant for something else.
- Hiding how much time or money goes on gambling.
- Feeling anxious, irritable or low about it.

Chapter 5How this site handles gambling
The resort includes a casino, so I mention it — on one page, in neutral terms: age, hours, what is on the floor and how to get support. No promotions, no membership programmes, no game descriptions. If you are planning a stay and would prefer to be well away from the gaming floor, say so in your request; the desk will ask for a room in the resort wing by the lagoon.
